What is Sound Wave Reflection?

Remember the first time you discovered the whisper dishes? You can talk and hear to your friend far from you.

Our ancestor discovered this natural phenomena and used in their architecture designs. The design allow one person to do a speech, sing or perform an instrument to the large audiences.

The famous Sydney Opera House concert hall designed and improved by adding reflect panels to beam the sound accurately to the positions. You can find the full article about the details here.

In the offices and restaurants we are doing the opposite to reduce the unwanted noise. A lot of sound absorbing materials are used in the walls to take away the sound. It absorbs the sound so there is no reflected sound bounce back to the listeners.

In the professional recording studio the ceiling and the walls are designed to both reflect and absorb the sound reflection to make sure the music that reach your ears are the same as artist intended.

However, you can not do the professional acoustic treatments or refection design at all your rooms or when you are on trips from home.
